The City of Lake Helen, known as “The Gem of Florida,” is located in west Volusia County immediately off of Interstate 4 (in between Orlando and Daytona Beach). The city is under 5 square miles and population under 3,000.
Founded by Henry DeLand and named after his daughter, the City was intended as one of the prettiest and most pleasant towns in Florida. Lake Helen preserves a small-town character, with historic architectures, tree lined roads and lush vegetation.
Lake Helen’s old Florida rural town feel along with its proximity to Interstate 4 makes it the perfect location – within minutes you can have access to head into Orlando or East to the beaches.
